my DAD
Argh, my dad Ibecoming so naggy.. keep repeating things or disturbing us when we are watching tv programs..
Incident 1
My aunt brought back a luggage back that my cousin borrowed for her short holiday trip, so I lend it to her lor… my father saw it in the living room then he asked, why is this here, he thought it was because he’s going overseas on 10 Oct then we brought it out for airing.
I just replied said, “Gina returned it to us, that time she go HK I lend it to her.”
He then began to inspect the bag, open up the bag, check anything inside the zip etc… I ignored him continue to watch my tv program. Then he asked, “Where are the things inside?”
Really can’t watch tv in peace wor, I said, ”Everything inside already taken out.”
“Then what about the lock?” he asked.
Argh! “I not sure that lock is yours or hers, got to check with her tomorrow k.” I answered. That really does it, I decided not to watch the program leh, better go sleep or else he will keep bombarding me with questions that I might not have answers.
Incident 2
The next morning, that is yesterday 29 September 2005, my dad called my hp and asked me about what Nail Clipper inside the luggage.
So I thought it was my cousin left a nail clipper inside the luggage, then he said what yakult small zip pouch, then I realised it was he is looking for his nail clipper set.
I answered him, “if there are things inside the bag, I would have already taken them out. So I need to go home and find”
Then he still must repeat the same thing again, “you don’t know where is it? Remember go home and find.”
With that we ended the phone call.
Haiz, he’s getting older and naggier. He’s going China on 10 Oct and we are looking forward to it, because can have 5 days of peacefulness, haha, but he very thick skinned one, so it happened to be his Lunar Birthday, so want to treat his friends drinks, think he will buy at DFS at Airport, so he asked us to give him Ang Pow for birthday…

Don't Touch Me !!
I freeze every time someone whom I’m not familiar becomes too touchy towards me. To those whom I’m not familiar with, if you stroke my hair, I will freeze and my heart begin to pound rapidly, because I’m afraid…
Well, this matter has been deep inside my heart, hoping one day I would forget about it. You know I tend to sit as far as I can from the person beside (during bus rides) all because, argh…. A man has touched me before.
I was on a long ride to Tampines and along the way a man board and sat beside me. He was dressed like a monk, during the ride, he sat with his face facing me. How to describe .. …
He’s in a sitting position but with his right shoulder instead of his back leaning again the back cushion. I was of course abit shocked at that time, but thought maybe he felt more comfortable sitting this way. I ignored him, this is the first mistake I made. I should have changed seats… too late to regret now also…
Awhile later, I began to feel cold, so I rubbed my hands… he opened his eyes and spoke to me.
“So you are cold?” he asked. I just nodded my head and continue staring out of the window.
A moment later, I felt a hand on my knee… I froze and was so shocked !! I pushed his hand away and his hand came back and he placed it on the same spot again. In less than a minute but felt like eternity, we reached the interchange he stood up and alighted. He still have the cheek to give me a smile…
I was so naïve at that time, I was only 13 or 14 years old but it made me wary of men… since that time, I never trust those uncles beside me even those with extremely fatherly look, looks can be deceiving !!
No one knows about this, and now I feel so much better. Although it wasn’t very serious case but it does serves as a warning, there are so many disgusting men out there…
Back off !!
I really don’t know how would he finally get the idea that I’m not interested in talking to him, or going downstairs for a cup of tea or whatever. Even worse is, I’m not interested to get any extra insurance or need any financial planning assistance k…
I don’t pick up his call, don’t reply to his sms, that’s so obvious right… but he just keep on trying… Argh!!
holiday holiday .. .. ..
Well, not sure of what to write recently. Too much things on my head… been checking out things online lah, Air Tickets, Hotels etc…
Correct, if you guess that I’m going for a holiday… haha

Will update more tomorrow… now brain empty… haha
Appreciation
Was reading a forum post title “When was the last time you say Thank You” And yes, it’s on the Service again. It’s from The New Paper, the extract: -
MS DAPHNE Yeo Hui Xian, in her letter, 'Stiff rule riles dining customer' (The New Paper, 29 Aug) expressed annoyance at not being allowed to switch the ice-cream in her buffet meal for a cheaper one which she preferred.
A supervisor had told her that house rules do not allow such switches.
I am in the hospitality industry and have seen enough unreasonable customers.
Ms Yeo must remember that the superviser she cited might not have been empowered by management to bend house rules in certain circumstances. So her hands were obviously tied.
In all segments of the service industry, there must be rules and regulations - and some of these are bound not to please some customers.
The hot topic now is service. Earlier, it was courtesy.
Customers should ask themselves when was the last time they said 'thank you' to a service provider, or for that matter, 'excuse me'.
When I first saw the title, I thought of what my dad said to me 2 days ago. Well, my dad would come back home around 10+ pm or 11+ pm from his Temple meeting (he’s a committee member there) then he would walk to his room to change or could even go to the Kitchen and drink some water then walk up to me (I would be sitting in the Living Room watching TV programmes); “Eh Von, go help me make my cereal (the nestum brand drink)”.
I have been doing this for countless times but I always will tick him off (mild one of course). “You just came out from the Kitchen but asked me go help you make Cereal” haha, he’s just plain lazy lah…
What surprised me was 2 days ago (that’s Wednesday night), as usual asked me to prepare his supper (the cereal drink) then when I gave him his drink, he actually say “Thank You”
At that moment, I think my eyes would have popped out if it weren’t fixed firmly inside my eye sockets… wahahaha…
Now I feel appreciated, all it takes is a small, soft-spoken THANK YOU!!
