Hmm, today don’t really know what to write at first, then suddenly recall my dad ask me to help him write a complain letter to a Taxi Company.
His Story: I was queuing at this particular taxi stand, then got this taxi cut to the front, let passenger alight, after the passenger alight, he never move on instead he cut queue, pick up another passenger (who was queuing at the stand) so unfair to all of us queuing at the back, abiding law and order.
Haha, guess the hot sun, plus business not so good bah, so he’s feeling real unhappy about the incident, so as a GUAI daughter I help him write one lor. Because I’m the complain queen in my house mah.
So I wrote a draft like this: -

Dear Sir / Madam,
QUEUE CUTTING AT TAXI STAND
With reference to the above captioned and I would like to draw to your attention that on 09 August 2005, at [LOCATION] Taxi Stand, [TIME]. I’m queuing at the taxi stand waiting for passengers and a Taxi (Taxi Plate No. SH* **** *) cut into the queue to drop off a passenger, after the passenger has alighted, he picked up another passenger who was in the taxi stand queue.
All taxis in the queue abide by the rules and the above mentioned taxi driver (SH* **** *) did not follow the practice. I greatly feel that this is a dishonest behaviour of the taxi driver (SH* **** *).
I hope that your esteem organisation would further enlighten your drivers on basic politeness to other taxi drivers.

This outlet at Bt Batok (Authorised Dealer, near the MRT; I never say name or what) makes my blood boil… … … but now abit guilty lah, cos that day I was also abit short tempered due to my stomach growling like mad and this is what that has happened… …

UNPLEASANT SERVICE AT BUKIT BATOK OUTLET
With reference to the above captioned and I would like to draw to your attention to the poor service at one of your outlets at [ADDRESS] on which my sister and I had visited on Sunday, 05 June 2005 time around 1730 hours.
We were there to upgrade our box set to a digital set and the sales person informed us that our remote has cracked and there will be a penalty of $31.50 which will be reflected in the next bill. When we asked whether could we not pay, his reply was “Then you bring this back”; he was referring to our box set. I certainly do expect basic courtesy which I did not receive at the above mentioned outlet. While attending to us, he took quite a considerable amount of time for a straightforward upgrading procedure.
We have been subscribing to Starhub Cable Vision for many years (which was used to be Singapore Cable Vision) and greatly regret that we have to complain about the unsatisfactory service received at the outlet mentioned above. We fully understand that our remote is cracked and it’s our responsibility to pay for the damage but was disappointed with the discourtesy by your outlet staff.
We hope that this is only an isolated case. Thank you for your kind attention.

After this email went out, it took sometime before Starhub called me back. Actually call my house, cos was under my mother’s name, so my mom gave them my handphone. Haha, was prepared to pay for the cracked remote also, not denying anything but just unhappy with the staff’s attitude. Starhub waived my penalty but tell me this is only out of goodwill, think scared I complain next time on any small things.
I hope I dun have to complain anything again, make me feel so petty…
