Since starting work after graduating from Poly... Has been keen in "protecting" myself by buying health related policies... until was introduced to Life Insurance, Investment Linked Policies (ILP)...

3 years later, I'm really disappointed when I realised the "GOODNESS" of ILP... You will be practically paying commission to your agent under the disguise of distribution costs...

I read through my policy, and for example;

1st year:
Premiums paid $1380, Distribution Cost $1391, Cash Value (projected at 5%, non guarantee) $100

2nd year:
Premiums paid $2760, Distribution Cost $1940, Cash Value (projected at 5%, non guarantee) $300

3rd year:
Premiums paid $4140, Distribution Cost $1989, Cash Value (projected at 5%, non guarantee) $1100

Cash value is the money I will get if I surrender my policy... Haiz... seems like 80%-90% of the premiums paid will be gone...

I've been giving much thoughts; surrendering my 2 policies, and 1 of them is a ILP... I feel cheated... It was only from reading these websites then I can understand better about the deceptions...

I still can remember the moment of hard sell... And I still have another ILP, you trust them yet get deceived... conflict of interest, you are their pay master afterall... I think I will surrender the ILP policy no matter what and the other ILP, I'm not sure yet...

I haven been updating recently.. will do so soon, something is wrong with my desktop pc… haiz, and everyday after work I’m practically too exhausted to use pc, would rather watch tv, R&R…

Going to miss him... although he will be back on the 28th, but it will be 13 days without seeing him and him making me laugh with his stupid antics...

Erm, and I did not cry when during the last stage of 'sending' them off... LoL... But there was an uncle beside me that has tears in his eyes, I was shocked lah... The boys can make it one, uncle don't have to worry, I felt like telling him that...
