The Football Association has announced that Frank Lampard's claim for wrongful dismissal following his sending-off on Sunday has been successful.

An FA statement reads:

'At an independent Regulatory Commission hearing today, a claim for wrongful dismissal from Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard was upheld. As a result, Lampard's three-match suspension has been withdrawn. Lampard was shown a red card for serious foul play during Sunday's Premier League match against Liverpool.'

It is the second time in the past 12 months that the Chelsea midfielder has made a successful claim. In March 2008, a ban following a red card at West Ham was similarly quashed.



FA NOT TO CHARGE BOSINGWA

A short while ago, the Football Association released the following statement:

The FA has confirmed that no disciplinary action will be taken against Chelsea defender Jose Bosingwa.

Bosingwa was involved in an incident with Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun during the Premier League match at Anfield on 1 February.

Referee Mike Riley has informed The FA that, while he did not see the incident himself, it was seen by his assistant Mo Matadar. No action was taken against Bosingwa by the officials.

Under the FIFA Laws of the Game, The FA is prohibited from taking disciplinary action when incidents are seen at the time by the match officials.

Earlier in the day, Jose apologised for his challenge, and insisted no harm was intended.

On another note, Arshavin signs for Arsenal (Jerysey No. 23)... He is a nice player to watch, but why go for Arsenal well but at least not Man Utd...

And Keane exit Liverpool after 6months to rejoin Tottenham Hotspur... All I will say is 好马不吃回头草 ...

Chelsea signs for Ricardo Quaresma, A winger from Inter-Milan (read Jose Mourinho current team) and the 6th Portuguese player... Scolari used to be Portugal National Coach... All the best till May 2009 (thats when the season ends)

Equally unsurprising was that Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard managed to do almost exactly the same thing as each other with drastically varying results.

They are icons for their clubs, match-winning midfielders who both under perform on the international stage - largely because every manager tries to play them together. Yet it's Lampard who takes abuse from the infamous 'boo-boys' and is labelled as a limited, flukey and overrated player by the masses.



Haiz, I was devastated by the results Liverpool 2 : Chelsea 0 … but many of Liverpool fans would be happy… seems like the Big 3 managed to outwit Scolari’s tactics… But whatever lah, hope Lampard’s red card will go through an appeal… heart pain to see him so 无奈 when he walk away…

But anyway, it was also the carelessness in the last 10mins that ruined our chances of getting a draw…
