It always has been my interest to borrow travel guides from library and read up on countries that interest me...

Recently I have been reading travel guides: -

1. London
2. Paris
3. Rome

Yes, finally planning a first trip to European countries... London / Paris / Rome. Well, destination Rome is not a confirmation yet... now still checking on pricing, hotel, airfares etc...

Basically a self-book trip for London / Paris is approximately $2,500 SGD, then if want to include Rome there is an additional of $1,000 SGD... so now I'm sourcing for the best deals, best location for cheap hotels, and not to mention must be safe lah...

We 3 (siblings) are planning to go Europe together, wonder if my dad can take it anot... LoL... But as long we are careful, travel together should be safe lah!! And also Fiona might also be going London in Dec, so quite cool to meet a good friend there... LoL

I'm looking forward to a long holiday during the year end, cos last year, mine was cut short lor... and to come back was really an heartbreaking event lah... nevertheless, I'm alright now, just occasionally missing my mom, when I'm alone at home etc... I will turn up the volume of the TV, or listen to music with headphones, so as to distract myself... okok, no more...

Come 18 July, I'm going to BKK for a shopping trip with Gina and Fiona... LoL, Unexpected traveling buddies... well, due to Mr. & Mrs. Tang coming wedding, they are tightening their purse strings hence can't go with us... Hence after asking around and after "much difficulties", a BKK trip is booked...

Shopping here I come, mustn't spend unnecessary now...

Okok, I got to go bath and pack my things.. Because we are going to the beach... (Read: East Coast Park)... Cycling, Dinner + Romantic under the stars... LMAO

Back from East Coast Park... Cycling for 2hours, followed by dinner at Burger King... LoL... It was a nice Cousins bonding outing...

Since the start of Euro 2008, I have only watched 1 match, that is Netherlands VS Russia on Sunday 22 June 2008 2.45am… Actually was half sleeping half watching lah, because it was only interesting at the near end part of the match…

Seems like underdogs performed well during this quarter finals matches.

Portugal VS Germany
Many people would have expected the younger (fresher) Portugal to win, especially with the “twinkle-toes” Ronaldo… but 姜还是老的辣… Germany won by 1 goal difference…

Croatia VS Turkey
All say Croatia sure win lah, but I think basing on experience hor, both teams reach World Cup 3rd place before (Croatia 1998, Turkey 2002), so you can’t say who sure win one… and Croatia celebrated too early after when they score a goal in the 28min of extra time, do not underestimate the determination of Turks… they scored a goal to level the score to 1-1 in 30 + 2 (that’s injury time in the extra time… so advance to penalty shoot-outs lor… I like the Turkey’s goalkeeper, Rustu since the world cup 2002 where Turkey was No. 3…In the end, it was Croatia players that ruin their chances when they missed the penalty kicks twice…

Netherlands VS Russia
Netherlands advanced into quarterfinals with 9 points, meaning they won all 3 matches while in group stages, they were in such good form that it is understood that Russia stand no chance… but I’m afraid their tricks are all seen through by the Russia Coach Guus Hiddink, a dutch… now he is seen as a “dutch betrayer”… the match although was quite boring with the lack of goals, but you cannot imagine Netherlands with so many star players are not performing leh… Russia scored first before being leveled by Van Nistelrooy’s score and was advanced into extra time. But during extra time, Russia side scored another 2 goals.

Spain VS Italy
This match I never watch and can’t comment lah, but then in the end it was decided through penalty too…
Spain 0 Italy 0 (Penalty 4-2)


Next coming are the semi finals which I can watch on the preview channels… Hehe…

Btw, I bought Germany and Turkey to win the championship, so currently I have a 25% to win money… LoL… either Germany of Turkey, I will “upgrade” to 50% chance liao…

ME and My DIVA shades... LoL

Friday met up with KT, Joanna and Fiona for a belated birthday dinner… we went to Sakura Orchard for buffet, eat till very full and I love the cakes there… simply nice… after that went to KTV at Clementi… long time never go KTV with Fiona liao, a lot of songs cannot sing, cos the key cannot be adjusted, so I tried singing some A-mei songs with the original key, can hit lah, but maybe sounds abit strained…I just loveD the song by A-mei, 我恨我爱你

Partly also because I just recovered from Flu… was on MC on Thursday for Flu… body was aching slightly, nose blocked or runny, cannot breathe properly… throat abit inflamed, so think better go see doctor rather than to infect my colleagues…

Last Saturday was a busy day, went to Bee Low See (Temple) to pray grandpa, then went to Jurong Point for some shopping, we wanted to go somewhere that has many things to shop and suits our attire (read lok-cok)…

Hence Jurong Point there we ventured… my sister spent the most… I bought a top from Fox for $13 and I like it a lot so should be wearing it soon… LoL

Watched KungFu Panda after the shopping sessions… Recommended to watch the show, it’s so hilarious…



Love the fatty panda, with “hidden” talents… quote, “I eat when I’m upset…” And I love the part where he does the “Tai-chi” style… LoL

Yesterday, was suppose to go JB but think got strikes over the fuel thing, and my uncle was not feeling well, hence cancelled… instead it was a steamboat session with cousins at their house… we ate till very full…

Now thinking what to do for next weekend, maybe going Sentosa on Sunday… see how lor… I want to get tanned leh… too fair now!!!

And now I waiting for Fiona’s answer whether BKK can confirm… If yes then BKK here I come!!!

Since my last post for my Grandpa

This year it is already the 9th year... Time flies, and unfortunately my Mom had joined him in heaven...

The wounds may have already healed and I do not cry as easily as before... But I'm missing my Grandpa deeply... I'm missing my Mom badly...

I often wonder how different it will be if he is still around... Maybe he will advise my mom to undergo proper treatment, and she will still be around... Grandma will be happier than what she is feeling now...

But I guess things are all fated, when time's up, no matter where you are, what you do and who you are, you still have to go...

Time heals, but the damages are already done!!
